Proposals

How to create your first proposal in 5 minutes

Last updated 2026-05-08

A proposal in Wintura starts from a brief — anything you can paste into a text box. Email from a prospect, RFP excerpt, your own meeting notes, even a Slack DM thread.

Open the New Proposal flow

From the dashboard, click New Proposal in the top right. You land on /dashboard/proposals/new with a three-step segmented stepper.

Step 1: Tell Wintura about the deal

Three required fields:

  1. Client name — the company or person you're proposing to
  2. Service type — pick the closest match (SEO, PPC, content, branding, web design, social, etc.). This shapes the section structure.
  3. Brief — paste the source material. The richer the brief, the better the first draft. 200+ words is ideal, but 50 will do.

Optional but useful: Budget range and Project timeline sharpen the pricing and scope sections.

Step 2: Generation

Click Generate. The progress overlay walks through ~5 stages: outline → executive summary → approach → deliverables → pricing. Total time is usually 60–90 seconds.

Step 3: Edit inline

Every section is rich-text editable. Click anywhere and type. The auto-save kicks in 1 second after you stop typing.

Common edits:

  • Drag sections — grab the handle on the left to reorder
  • Add a section — click + Add Section at the bottom
  • Change pricing — click any line item to edit description, quantity, or rate
  • Adjust title and date — click them in the cover header to inline-edit

Send

When you're happy, click Review & Send in the top-right pill. You can email it directly to the client or copy a magic link to paste anywhere (Slack, your own email, iMessage).

Tips

  • The first proposal you generate teaches Wintura your voice. Subsequent generations get faster and on-brand.
  • Use Clone on a similar past proposal as a starting point for repeat services.
  • Sample proposals can't be sent — clone them or create a new one for real clients.
