Managing your billing and plan

Upgrading

Click any plan card on Settings → Billing or /pricing. You'll redirect to Stripe's hosted checkout. After payment, you bounce back to /dashboard/billing/success and your plan is live within seconds.

If you're already on a paid plan and want to change tiers, the Manage Subscription button opens Stripe's Customer Portal — they handle the proration math and the next invoice reflects the change.

Downgrading

Same path: open the Customer Portal, pick a smaller plan. Downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep your higher-tier features until then.

Updating payment method

Customer Portal handles this too. Add or replace cards, switch to a different payment method, or update billing address.

Failed payments

If a charge declines, Stripe retries automatically (4 attempts over ~7 days). You'll get an email each time and an in-app banner shows the issue. After 3 failed retries, your account is access-locked for new proposal generation until you update the payment method.

Cancelling

Cancel from the Customer Portal. By default, cancellation is at period-end — you keep access until the date you'd otherwise be charged again, then drop to the Free plan automatically.

To cancel immediately + lose access right now, use Account → Delete account. That fully removes your data and cancels the subscription with no proration refund.

Invoices

Past invoices live in the Customer Portal. Each has a downloadable PDF receipt for accounting.
